Vaurkala is an alternate term for The Corruption in the Shiri language, meaning "black fire" and referring to the appearance of pure Corruption as Darkfire. This term is also used to mean Devourer, referring to an agent of the Corruption in a sense similar to the terms Vor'jen, Shadows, or Furies.
