Elven Like Me was an article by Nick Mamatas about the otherkin community. It was the first article appearing in a mainstream publication about the otherkin community. Members of the otherkin community including Magpie Hrafnsdottir, Arhúaine, Tirl Windtree, and Alyannael were interviewed. Mamatas drew his own conclusions on the subculture, summing up the article with the claim that "The Otherkin are both a sign and portent of a widespread dissatisfaction with the modern world."
