A wannabe is a derogatory term for someone who wants to become a vampire, therian or otherkin. Such individuals generally have unrealistic ideas of what that would entail even if it were possible, such as expecting supernatural powers or immortality if they could become vampires or physical shapeshifting if they could become therians. Wannabes generally have a highly romanticized image of what it would mean to be nonhuman, and seem to expect it to improve their lives somehow or make them more interesting.
