Split is a term that was used in the otherkin community for trauma-based multiples who experienced classic MPD/DID splitting, to distinguish them from hosts where one or more of the minds present was not native to the body, such as a walk-in. The term is not generally used in the multiplicity community and may be considered offensive, and has largely fallen out of use in the otherkin community as well.
