Sanguinarius was a vampire community elder, an educator, a role model, and a friend to many in the vampire, therian, and otherkin communities. She was the owner and founder of Sanguinarius.org, the #sanguinarius and #vampires IRC channels on DALnet, the Vampire Community Message Board, the Sanguinarius Group Chat, the Vampire Discussion and Vampires AMOK mailing lists, and the Tucson Otherkin Meetup. She was also the author of The Dictionary of Vampspeak.

On Monday, August 3, 2015, Sanguinarius passed away.[1] She had been suffering from long-term health problems[2] that involved hospitalization, including a recent stroke.[3]
