Sel'ar is a placeholder name for one of the remembered Elenari homeworlds. Those who remember it are not sure what the world was called while they lived there, but they have adopted this name to refer to it in the present which they believe meant "homeland" or possibly "temporary homeland" in the Tulari language.

In their memories, Se'lar appears very earthlike, having blue skies with a single sun and moon. Technology there was relatively limited, approximately at the same level as Earth's medieval period in Europe prior to the introduction of gunpowder.
