The FAE Retreat was an annual event in the Houston area, held by FAE, Inc. It focused on non-human reincarnates. It started in 2001 as a follow-on to Dancing the Endless Dream, and ran through the Fall of 2006. Although initially held on Columbus Day weekend, it moved to Labor Day weekend because more people had that Monday as a holiday. It normally had 16-25 attendees, averaging around 20.

It started as "Dancing the Endless Dream 2" in 2001, because the local otherkin community didn't want to wait a year between Dancing the Endless Dream gathers, and was renamed the "FAE Reteat" in 2002. The FAE Retreat ran through the Fall of 2006. Although initially held on Columbus Day weekend, it was moved to Labor Day weekend because more people had that Monday as a holiday. The FAE Retreat normally had 16-25 attendees, averaging around 20. After FAE, Inc. dissolved, the FAE Retreat was succeeded by A Gathering Echo.
