A theriotype is a term for the type of therian one is. Some therians identify as wolves, others as foxes or bears or lions, etc. Saying that one's theriotype is wolf is semantically equivalent to saying that one is a wolf therian. It is equivalent to the term kintype used in the otherkin community. Other terms used by the therian community for this concept include "animal sides", "were sides", and "phenotypes".
