Wulf Howl is an online community and resource website for otherkin, therianthropes, and vampires. It features articles, forums, blogs, a directory of otherkin, and a community-run resources section. Wulf Howl was established to be a friendly and welcoming community to both newcomers and greymuzzles alike. It is frequently updated and many 'kin consider it home. It was founded by Shiro in October of 2011. Wulf Howl is powered by Drupal and Invision Power Board, with custom modifications by Shiro.

History

Originally the site started out as WereTher, a small PHPBB-based forum for therianthropes. It had about 100 members at its peak, and struggled to diversify itself from other communities. It was closed on 12/24/2010 with no plans of reopening. It was then reopened as Wulf Howl in its current incarnation.

The Wulf Howl incarnation of the site was founded in October of 2011 by Shiro. It began as a small 'alternative' forum with a chatbar for otherkin, therianthropes, and vampires. It was intended to provide a warm, welcoming, and friendly community to the newly awakened and experienced members alike. It was updated to include articles, blogs, a directory of otherkin, and a community-run resource center in early 2012. It is now an important resource site, especially among therianthropes.

Staff

Wulf Howl's administration is directed by an administrator (known as a Sheikh). The Sheikh appoints Praetors who function as "Super Moderators" on the site. The Praetors oversee Guardians, whom are also appointed by the Sheikh. Wulf Howl does not allow members to apply for staff, and positions are considered invitation only.
