I'm [[Naia Ōkami]]! I am most well known for the quote [[I Think I'm An Animal|“On all levels except physical, I am a wolf”.]] Despite this being my “claim to fame”, I would much rather be known for something ANYTHING else. In reality, I am a twenty-six year old {{w|transgender}} woman living in the Southeastern United States. I identify as a British Columbia Wolf and Red Fox [[Therians|therianthrope]].

Despite mainly being known for my presence in the [[alterhuman]] community, I am also an early advocate of the neurodiversity movement, and am one of the main people responsible founding {{w|Autistic Pride Day}} (celebrated each year on my birthday, June 18th in 2005). Additionally, I speak about Autism Spectrum Disorders at conferences and universities across Georgia. More still, I advocate for LGBTQ+ rights in my home state of Georgia, and released the first guide to changing your gender marker in my state without reversible surgery in 2019. On yet another note of activism, I have also participated in operations against internet predators of children.

I am a hobbyist programmer; I’m also a credited game programmer & technical consultant for the Massively Multiplayer Online Social Game of {{w|Furcadia}}. I am the creator and administrator of both [[Kinmunity]] (otherkin community), and [[Wolf Howl]] (distributed social networking instance) and am a network operator for the {{W|ChatAutism}} IRC Network. My interest and specialization is in information security.

I'm [[Naia Ōkami]], a twenty six year old wolf and fox [[therianthrope]] from the southern wasteland of Brunswick, Georgia. I am known mainly for the phrase "On all levels except physical, I am a wolf" which has unfortunately become an internet meme. I've been in the therianthropy and [[otherkin]] communities for over thirteen years, and I've been in the [[furry fandom]] even longer. I first came to participate in the community by joining the now-defunct [[WereNet]], and I founded [[Kinmunity]] (as [[Wulf Howl]]) in 2011.

Outside of the otherkin community, my hobbies include: Programming, Lock picking, Building security systems, Bicycle Riding, Running, Swimming, Paintball, Yoga, Gymnastics, Urban Exploration, Playing video games, Hanging out with friends & my pack, and being in the woods. I am very open about expressing myself, especially with how I dress, I often wear various wolf shirts and jewelry. I’m outspoken, and I consider myself a self-advocate. I’m very loyal and protective of people, as well as ideas and thoughts that matter to me.

I can come off as “blunt” or “rude” because I lack a filter from thought to speech/text. This often gets me into trouble and I end up offending people without even realizing it. From a young age, Ōkami felt that she was "not human" on the inside. After watching the anime series Wolf's Rain at age twelve, she gained a fascination with wolves and as she read more about them and began to understand them, she began feeling as if she were "a wolf in a human body".

Ōkami first entered the online therian community through the now-defunct [[WereNet]]. She "didn't find werelist members to be the friendliest bunch" and ended up migrating to [[Werelist]] where she eventually became a docent staff member. In October of 2011, Ōkami founded the [[Wulf Howl]] otherkin community. She later founded [[Kinmunity]] in December of 2014, followed by [[Wolf Howl]] in 2020.
